Colour choices . . . the fun stuff!

We had our colour appointment a few months back now. It was booked for 3 hours but I was sure it wouldn't take that long. We'd thought about bricks and roof and paint and had a general idea about what we liked. How much more did we have to choose?

It turns out 100's of things! Basins, taps, cupboards, skirts, flashing, trims, windows, tiles, stain colour, doors, door handles, benchtops, cupboard handles... the list goes on forever. There's 26 pages of our colour selections! We hadn't had lunch before we went so we were starving by the end of it. They really should provide snacks :)

Our colour consultant was fantastic. She was calm and just led us around the showroom and asked us lots of questions, gave suggestions when we had blank looks on our faces, and wrote it all down. She's good at her job!

It could have been overwhelming, but this really was the fun part. This is what makes a spec home our home, different from the other 1000's that are built each year. These colours are the ones we love and want to live with everyday.
Here's what we've chosen for External...

Roof tiles -Magnum

Gutter, facia, flashing, Aluminum windows & flyscreens - Monument

Bricks - Moon Dust

Ironed joints, grey mortar, would love off white but too much $ :(

Cladding & downpipes against cladding - Raku

Infill above doors, windows, rear garage door, meter box, downpipes - Calf skin

Timber battens on front of house - Bonanza, painted to look timber grain

Garage door - Caoba Dawn, timber look

8

Front door style - good question!  We're limited with choice due to our bushfire rating so all the doors we really really wanted we can't have (will post that drama another day).  We're still finalising the front door but think it will be the one below - 1200 x 2340 timber veneer stained in Rich Chocolate

This isn't the exact stain, but close

Alfresco stacker doors stain - Ebony
