DAY 19 - More framework

Monday, 3rd September - lots of little framing stuff today.  I'm sure it wasn't a little bit of work, but not as visually surprising as the whole house frame going up.

Garage roof frame completed

It looks like a big mess of wood, but I'm sure some engineer in an office somewhere designed it to last

All ready for the roofers

Daniel noticed the bathroom wall frame had been put in back to front so the window was
in the shower instead of over the bath - oops!  A bit closer to nature (& neighbours) than we had wanted :)
They had to rebuild the frame and I don't think they were too pleased for the extra work.

Bath on the left with window above.  Shower on right with shower niche (that's where the
big window was when the frame was wrong)

The bath hob is built

Anyone for a bath?

It won't be so much fun once the walls are in :(

Alfresco post - I love it!  It will be stained Ebony to match the alfresco and pantry doors

Porch posts and roof frame go up

The top view of the porch roof.  It will have guttering to send rain water to the tanks.
We're not quite sure how this will look and how they brick it.

The porch should be a nice place to sit once we concrete or deck it.

The upper roof trusses have been craned upstairs and are waiting to go on...

I'm told tomorrow the scaffolding goes up so they can complete the roof trusses.

179 days and counting.  Will it really take that long?
