DAY 95 - We have a front door... of sorts!

Monday 19th November 2012

Today the chippies returned to finish off the eaves, fiber cement infills above some of the doors (garage, alfresco) and attach our front door... how do you like it?

Our front door is still on back order but latest update is mid next week it should be here.  Until then, we're 'locked out' with fc sheeting.  I think they want their Enclosed stage payment :)

The chippies will be back to fit the proper front door, and to add a little more beading above the garage door as they had run out of the wood for that. 

They were finishing this section when we arrived.

 

Cornice will be added to the alfresco ceiling

 

It seems I need to clean the spots off the camera lens!


There's a bit of wood left from the chippies so we'll move that into the stash for the cubby :)

I got the new sink last week and tested it this morning.  It appears to sit more flush with the benchtop but the real test is when it's installed.  Fingers crossed as I doubt they will swap it again.

Some time Friday or over the weekend the kitchen guys came back and fixed the laundry shelf which was crooked, and replaced the side panels to the cupboards beside the oven.  I haven't got the tape measure out yet but it seems to be ok.

Tomorrow the painters start... Yipee!!!
