DAY 37 - Wrapped Up!

Friday 21st September I was hoping to see the lower roof on but instead the lower house has been wrapped!

I think the wrap was done yesterday afternoon (I was there around 2pm and it wasn't done yet) as our electrician is continuing rough in today and it was already done when he arrived early. 

 You can also see the scaffold which was set up yesterday for the lower roof to be done.

And the bricks have arrived...

I feel a little ripped off!  You may notice in the bottom picuture that the bricks are not a solid colour.  They seems to be a standard 'yucky' colour (in my opinion) with 'our' colour on the outside (the face and 2 sides).  I had thought bricks were a solid colour but I guess you get what you pay for and maybe that's what you get in the 'standard' range.  You won't be able to see it when it's on the wall, but we hope it can't chip off easily.

I'm not 100% sure I like the colour... we will see when it goes up.  We can always paint it :)  Yeah right!


The door frames arrived too for the front door, laundry door, rear garage door, and the cavity doors for the living room, study & ensuite.  I forgot to take pics of these but you can see them when they're installed!

Tomorrow we head off on 10 days holiday so fingers crossed we come back to lots of progress!
