DAY 62 - and more Plaster...

Today was more of the same - you guessed it... Plaster!  Having tried my hand at patching up walls  wall in our old home, I was very impressed by the smooth lines of the joins, when mine resembled a small mountain on the wall.  There will be little sanding to be done in this house... these guys know what they're doing!  So like a moth to a flame I was drawn to it, hand outstretched to feel the barely protruding joins.  Uh oh!  It was still wet!!!  They must have left site not too long before we were there and I made marks in the wet plaster.  So I find a bit of straight metal which they put over the vertical corners, totally forgetting that plaster doesn't like to be reworked after it's started to set... and I make it worse!  Hmmm, I think I'll pretend we were never there and hopefully they're not too cross to fix it up.  It isn't too bad, but their work was close to perfect!  They are the professionals...

So here's what's been done today -

A little more on the eaves around the back but still no brickies in on site.

The scratches in our bedroom window frame :(
But that's ok cause we didn't do it and they will need to fix it up :)

More plastering - the same rooms, but will look a bit smoother than yesterday with holes and joins patched up...

Oh and news of the day - I drove 'over' a huge snake on the way home this morning.  It was slithering across a bridge and was about 3m in length and dark in colour.  Yuk!  I managed to manoeuvre the car so the snake went between the wheels, and I checked in the rear view mirror to make sure it was still on the road.  Otherwise I'd have to drive around all day incase it got in the wheel well.  I wanted to drive home with my feet up on the seat...

136 days left (but hoping for around 60)
