DAY 58 - Plaster, Cladding & an Unwelcome squater :(

Another beautiful sunny day today.  Not too hot but really windy.  We have a huge & beautiful gum tree opposite the front of the house which has grown on a lean.  It was swaying pretty good today.  I'm hoping if it ever comes down it will fall away from the house!

The plasterers have been busy again today with the remaining walls and roof hung upstairs and the roof hung downstairs.

I'm guessing maybe 2 days to hang the walls downstairs.  That leaves them 8 days to pretty it all up :)

Also some of the cladding & eaves went up!  It still has to be painted.

So this is what the timber was for

Did you notice the vents in the eaves?  There will be a few of these to assist roof ventilation.

Someone asked what the wires are hanging out of the wall in the master bedroom.  These are for power, data & aerial connections.  They are neatly tucked away in the wall courtesy of some great recessed boxes Daniel sourced from America.  We have these boxes in the master bedroom, upstairs tv area, & downstairs family room.  This is so we can mount tv's on the wall and all the cables will be connected behind it.  Our tv will go in the family room, and upstairs... for now a nice picture will cover them up :)

They will have gang plates & a cover plate to finish them off neatly

Our unwelcome guest... it's at the laundry door so hoping it was on the way out and not in!  And that before it's demise, it didn't send out invites for it's family to move in... ewwww!!!

140 days to go... that's approx 4 1/2 months.

But we'll give them 2 months to get it done :)  That makes them about half way!
